Cygne, E. J.

E.J. Cygne studied at Columbia University. He was a recipient of the Lucille Loewen Memorial Award and the William Kinney Fellowship.

Exhibitions at Greenwich Gallery, Aqueduct Gallery, and the Moravian Society.

He also exhibited in Brussels and Amsterdam .

His works appear in the private collections of James Cox Brady, Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt, and the late Stantije Van Der Pol.

This sensitive artist recreates the color, brilliant, yet delicate, of the French countryside of a now vanished era.

“Cygne, E. J. –Through the deft technique of Cygne, the viewer is transported back to the past and becomes part of “le grand epoch”. With very little formal training, this young artist has recreated the color, brilliant and yet delicate, of the French countryside; and with a feeling of nostalgia the luminous scenery evokes the grace and charm of a vanished era. Long enjoyed throughout Europe, Cygne's paintings are now, for the first time, presented in the U.S.A. ”.
