Bowman has developed his artistic vision in many aspects of glass working, including architectural leaded glass, etched glass, kiln-worked glass, glass blowing and casting, and glass and mixed media sculpture. He has done many commissioned projects for public spaces, corporate environments, and residential installations, and also produced a large body of autonomous works in mixed media sculpture and blown glass vessels.

Marylynn Devereux, Bowman's wife, works primarily in stained glass.  She has devoted much time in teaching art to young people, especially to at risk and underprivileged children, directing a show of young person's art t the Dallas Museum of Art in 1998.   Some of the more public works by Bowman and Devereux can be seen in and around downtown Dallas.  A glass clock by Bowman sits at the Dart light-rail station in the West End , while a stained glass mural by Devereux and some of her students graces the Dart station in Oak Cliff.
